Application overview

Datto SaaS Protection is easy to use and navigate. Application features enable you to do the following:

  • Add new organizations
  • Manage organization licensing terms
  • Monitor organization backup status
  • Perform manual backups
  • Recover and restore organization service data
  • Manage service protection status for individual users
  • Manage additional administrators
  • Create custom reports

SaaS Protection Status page

The SaaS Protection Status Overview page is where you begin working in the application. On this page, you can quickly review key information for each of your organizations. A few of the details conveyed on this page include the name of the product that is being backed up, the number of billable and non-billable seats in the system, and the percentage of backups completed successfully within the last 24 hours.

The Licenses button displays the Licenses page where you can manage the license details for your organizations.

With the Graphus button, you can integrate SaaS Protection with Graphus and work with both organizations on one page.

The ability to send a daily backup summary report to organizations is available from the Daily Backup Report button.

The Add SaaS Protection Organization button displays the form you complete to add a SaaS Protection organization to your environment.

NOTE  Selecting a specific organization on the SaaS Protection Status Overview page navigates to the organization's Status page described below.

Organization menu

The organization menu provides the tools for monitoring organization backups, recovering and restoring files, and performing other administrative tasks.

Status: Navigates to the organization Status page. This page conveys backup information for each of the organization's services. The data available includes seat information, the number of services being backed up for each application type, total data storage for each service type, and an indicator of whether service backups were successfully completed over the last 30 days.

Recovery: Accesses the pages to recover and restore files for each of the services. The Google Mail Recovery page is shown here.

Seat Management: Navigates to the Users page to manage service protection status for individual users.

Admin: Accesses the pages to manage additional administrators, create custom reports, and configure advanced settings. The Manage Administrators page is shown below.
