How do I request a billing tier change for a Datto SaaS Protection account?

  • Datto SaaS Protection for M365

Answer

Requesting a tier change

To request a billing tier change, contact your Datto sales representative and provide the following information:

  • Name and domain of the customer account to be changed
  • Your partner reseller ID
  • Original tier
  • New tier

Your sales representative will then submit an internal tier change request.

Do not contact the Datto Billing department for tier change requests, they must originate from your sales representative.

Downgrading/decreasing the number of users

If you are moving to a lower billing tier with a seat amount smaller than your currently added user list, you must call Datto SaaS Protection Technical Support before requesting the tier change for manual removal of the users you specify.

Adding additional users

After the tier change is processed, Datto SaaS Protection accounts with auto-add enabled will automatically add users to fill the newly available seats. If auto-add is disabled, you must manually add users from the Datto SaaS Protection dashboard.
