Is it possible to delete specific items from backups?

Is it possible to delete specific items (i.e., individual emails, folders, files, etc.) from backups in Datto SaaS Protection?

Environment

Datto SaaS Protection for Google Workspace
Datto SaaS Protection for M365

Answer

We do not provide the ability to remove specific items from a Datto SaaS Protection backup. The only way to remove the data would be to remove the user or Site containing the item from Datto SaaS Protection. Removing the user or Site will delete all existing backups in Datto SaaS Protection.
