Account setup permission error

When attempting to set up a Google Workspace account, you receive this error message: “This Google Workspace account does not have the proper permissions to authorize Datto SaaS Protection to back up the ["your domain name"] domain. Please contact our support team for further assistance.

Environment

• Datto SaaS Protection for Google Workspace

Cause

The user attempting to create the account is not a Super Admin in Google Workspace.

Resolution

You must set up the account as a Super Admin in Google Workspace.
