Datto's new and improved infrastructure technology introduces an all new data storage structure to Datto SaaS Protection with next-gen replication. This architecture is built on erasure coding, allowing 3-5 copies of each object in storage within the same data center, while only using a fraction of the storage space it would typically take to hold these additional copies.

In addition, Datto's new and improved infrastructure technology features a cutting edge self-healing process across the storage nodes. In the case where a node was taken offline temporarily, no data is lost because of the automatic rebalancing process.

The result of Datto's new and improved infrastructure technology and our new erasure coding is a durability of 11 nines.
