Shared Drives missing from Google Groups backups

One or more Google Shared (Team) Drives for a protected Google Workspace account are missing from the account's backups. The issue happens whether or not Auto Add is turned on.

Environment

  • Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Google Workspace

Cause

For shared drives to be visible for backup, you must have at least one user or group present with Manager privileges and a shared drive member with either Full Access or Content Management privileges.

Resolution

For the missing drive, ensure that the user, group, and privilege requirements described above have been met. Then, attempt the backup again.
