Getting started with Datto SaaS Protection
Getting up and running with Datto SaaS Protection is an easy process that will have you backing up client organizations within an hour. Follow the steps in this article the first time you log in to the SaaS Protection application.
NOTE This article assumes that you have received a Welcome to Kaseya 365 email (for Kaseya 365 subscriptions) or a Welcome to Datto SaaS Protection email (for standalone modules). If not, reach out to your Account Manager.
Kaseya 365 Customers
If you have purchased Kaseya 365 and are new to SaaS Protection, you will complete your initial setup steps in both KaseyaOne and SaaS Protection (located within the Datto Partner Portal). Refer to Getting Started with Kaseya 365 for information on the Kaseya 365 Setup Guide that the Implementation Contact for a new Kaseya 365 subscription follows to setup Kaseya 365. The process involves activating the subscription modules and setting up KaseyaOne Unified Login.
If you are the Implementation Contact, have already started your Kaseya 365 Setup Guide, and are ready to activate and start using your new SaaS Protection module, follow the instructions in the sections that follow.
After you log in the first time, return to your Kaseya 365 Setup Guide to complete Step 2: Configure Unified Login.
IMPORTANT If you are migrating to SaaS Protection from Backupify, you will access SaaS Protection through the Datto Partner Portal. Read the article Migrating from Backupify to Datto SaaS Protection before you continue with the steps below.

The browser used to access Datto SaaS Protection must meet these requirements:

Accessing SaaS Protection the first time
The first time you log in to SaaS Protection, you will access the application through the Datto Partner Portal (auth.datto.com/login).

Kaseya 365: If you are the Implementation Contact for a new Kaseya 365 subscription and you don't have any modules accessed through Datto Partner Portal, you can access Datto Partner Portal through your Welcome to Datto Partner Portal email OR from the Activate link in your Kaseya 365 Setup Guide.

Standalone SaaS Protection: If you are a standalone customer for SaaS Protection and you don't have any modules accessed through Datto Partner Portal, you will access Datto Partner Portal through your Welcome to Datto Partner Portal email.
The log in steps are outlined in the following steps:

Access Partner Portal through your Activate link (Kaseya 365 customers) or your welcome email (standalone customers).

On the Set Your Password pop-up window, enter a new password. When complete the login page will open.
- Log in using your Partner Portal credentials provided in KaseyaOne or your welcome email and the new password you just set. The Datto Partner Portal Terms of Service dialog box opens.
- Read the terms of service.
- Select the I Agree... check box.
- Click Continue.
- Configure two-factor authentication, when requested.

If you currently have one or no Datto Partner Portal modules (any Datto backup product, Datto EDR/AV, SaaS Protection, Datto RMM), you will see the Admin page when you log in:

If you currently have more than one Partner Portal module (any Datto backup product, Datto EDR/AV, SaaS Protection, Datto RMM), you will see the account selection page. Select an account by clicking Continue:

Follow the instructions for the page you see:

Find the Partner Portal - Administrative, Endpoint Backup for PCs Admin, BCDR Admin, Endpoint Backup Admin tile and click Continue.

From the Status drop-down menu, Select SaaS Protection Status.
Configure KaseyaOne Unified Login
If you are a Kaseya 365 customer, return to your Setup Guide to configure KaseyaOne Unified Login. After you complete this step, you will return to SaaS Protection to complete the self-guided onboarding that launches automatically the first time you log in and will continue to prompt you to complete until you finish all your onboarding tasks.
If you are a standalone SaaS Protection customer, it is also recommended that you configure KaseyaOne Unified Login for easy access to all your IT Complete modules. Refer to Enable Log In with KaseyaOne for Datto Partner Portal for instructions.
Start Protecting
Now that you've logged in for the first time, it's time to add organizations to protect. Follow this easy process to start protecting Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants in minutes.

The first page you will land on after accessing SaaS Protection is the SaaS Protection Status page where you can add organizations:
Adding an organization involves the following steps:

Adding the name and core details

Selecting the commitment term and retention model for the organization

Selecting whether you or your organization will manage the SaaS Protection account

Deciding whether to automatically protect new users and enable a user license cap to prevent the organization from consuming too many SaaS Protection licenses

Managing your SaaS Protection environment
You will manage your SaaS Protection environment on the SaaS Protection Status page:
The SaaS Protection Status page allows you to:

view charts to monitor vital statistics regarding all your SaaS Protection accounts.

add and remove organizations
-
review your total license usage for each subscription type and license usage for each organization.

view Graphus organizations and be redirected to Graphus to analyze the threats.
