Reviewing license information

IMPORTANT  This article does not apply to Backupify customers.

The Licenses page is a great tool for reviewing the license usage in your organization. This article describes the information conveyed on the Licenses page.

Licenses page

The Licenses page consists of the License Usage Summary table, which shows your total license usage for each subscription type, and the License Usage Details table, which provides a breakdown of license usage for each organization.

To display the Licenses page, click Licenses on the SaaS Protection Status page.

NOTE  Users with the Admin role only can view the Licenses page.

License Usage Summary table

The License Usage Summary table presents your total license usage for your organization based on commitment term, retention type and subscription (SaaS Protection, SaaS Defense).

The Invoiced date column shows the license usage for the last Datto SaaS Protection invoice you received. The Billable Usage indicates the license usage at this point in time for the current invoice. To help you anticipate your next invoice, the Billable Pricing Pool column conveys the pricing tier the Billable Usage falls in for each subscription.

You can view the current product pricing sheet by clicking View Pricing Schedule. Click View Invoices to review purchases and account statements or to download a monthly invoice.

NOTE  Billable usage for one-year subscriptions is determined by the total number of protected seats at the end of the month or the committed license amount, whichever is greater. Billable usage for month-to-month subscriptions is determined by the total number of protected seats at the end of the month. For more information about subscription pricing, see the article Understanding the pricing model.

License Usage Details table

The License Usage Details table conveys the following information for each organization:

  • Product: Office 365 or Google Workspace
  • Commitment: 3 Year, 1 Year, or Month to Month
  • Retention: ICR or TBR
  • Subscription: SaaS Protection, SaaS Defense
  • Current Usage: Identifies the number of Active, Paused, and Archived licenses.
  • License Cap: Lists the license cap number if this feature is enabled. To enable, click the edit icon in the License Cap column.
  • Details: Displays following information when applicable:
    • Not for Resale (NFR): The organization is your NFR account.
    • Check Authorization: The account is waiting for the user with credentials to complete the authorization. For a partner-managed account, click Check Authorization to complete the process. For an organization-managed account, click Check Authorization to resend the authorization email.
    • Organization Managed: The account is organization managed.
    • Activate SaaS Defense: SaaS Defense has not been activated for a partner-managed SaaS Protection account. Click to initiate authorization steps.
    • Legacy Domain: The domain existed prior to the new billing model.

NOTE  The three dot menu at the end of the header row allows you export a CSV file that includes all records in the table. The menu is available at the end of each organization row and provides options, when applicable, for changing the commitment term, retention type and for canceling the subscription. See the articles Changing subscription terms; Canceling SaaS Protection services.
