Error: "datto.http.google.mail.ApiErrors$TooManyRequestsError"

Google Workspace backups fail with the error message, "datto.http.google.mail.ApiErrors$TooManyRequestsError: User-rate limit exceeded."

Environment

• Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Google Workspace

Cause

This error may appear in the Failure Reason column of the SaaS Status page when the Google Workspace account has reached its API rate limit and Google has applied throttling to it.

Resolution

Google Workspace rate limits are not within Datto's scope of control. Contact Google support to increase your API usage limits or for assistance with revising your configurations to avoid future throttling.
