Transfer of business activities from Backupify to Kaseya
Changes to Backupify's business operations will take place effective April 1, 2025. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our service offerings, Backupify will be rebranded to Datto SaaS Protection. We will be transferring business activities and customer contracts to affiliated entities.
What does this mean for you?
Starting on March 1, 2025, the business activities of Backupify, LLC ("Backupify") will be transferred to the following entities per region:
Region | Entity |
---|---|
Australia | Kaseya Australia Pty Ltd |
Canada | ITG Software ULC |
Germany | Kaseya International Deutschland GmbH |
Netherlands | Datto Nederland BV |
UK | Datto Europe Limited |
US | Kaseya US, LLC |
All other regions | Kaseya Limited |
As these changes are being implemented, we want to assure you that you can expect operations to continue as usual without any disruption. You will continue to receive the same great services from your Backupify account management and leadership team. Importantly, the terms and conditions of your customer contract will not be altered.
Key changes to expect
You will see these changes:
-
Invoices and Payments: In the upcoming weeks, you will begin receiving invoices from the respective new entities (Kaseya US, Kaseya Australia Pty Ltd, ITG Software ULC, Kaseya International Deutschland GmbH, Datto Nederland BV, Datto Europe Limited, or Kaseya Limited) rather than Backupify. Payments will need to be made directly to the appropriate bank account, which will be reflected on the invoices.
-
Invoice Service Periods: Your invoice service periods will remain the same. For example, if you are currently billed on the 10th of every month, your final Backupify invoice will be on March 10. Your first Kaseya invoice will be on April 10.
-
Consolidated Invoices: Subsequent invoices will appear as part of your monthly consolidated invoices. Please read about our consolidated invoices here: Example consolidated invoice layout.
-
AutoPay: If you are currently on AutoPay in Backupify, we will be migrating this functionality to the Kaseya Billing Platform. Credit card statements will now show Kaseya as the Vendor rather than Backupify.
-
Invoice Taxation Notice: As part of the migration from Backupify to Kaseya, you may now notice tax charges on your subscription services invoices. Kaseya is required to collect sales tax in certain jurisdictions. For our US customers, to ensure accurate tax charges, you will be receiving a separate communication from our tax partner, OneSource, who will provide you with a secure link where you can register your tax information. For non-US customers, please supply VAT/GST numbers to Tax@kaseya.com.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to our Billing Support Team through the Kaseya Helpdesk.
-
Updated Remittance Information: Your new invoice will provide remittance information to the Kaseya bank accounts. Please ensure that you update your vendor information to ensure timely payment application, as described in Update vendor information.

Update your vendor contact information with the information shown for your billing country. For bank details, see your new Kaseya invoice.
